My condolences to Nicky family I saw him last month. We hung out at one restaurant then we walked to Forman`s restaurant. Had a drink there on the way back. We stopped and had a coffee at Priscilla`s. He was supposed to call me. I didn´t hear from him. It hurts to see somebody go, specially friends and family God bless you Nicky forever in our hearts.

I knew Nicky since 2002 when we began dating on and off until 2010. We had many fun memories together going to film previews and events in Austin and LA, staying ant the San Gabriel on Congress for months, and staying at Linklater´s house often to house sit. Nicky worked on writing his own scripts in which his goal was to be a writer and producer. He was talented at writing, was a great guy and will be missed by all that knew him well.

There is so much to say about Nick, (I knew him as Nick)...his humor was one of the best I've ever known...so quick, smart & perfectly delivered. We met around his The Burbs film, he was so much fun to hang out with. We played pool A LOT & the stories, how he could tell a story. He introduced Hollywood Hills & LA to me, with such an effortless cool. I am so deeply grateful for every memory I have of him, I will treasure our time forever. I'm sad that he lost his Mother, I'm sure that broke his heart, they were such a team. I hope he's in peace now. Love to you, Nick.

I´m so sorry whatever Nicky was going through resulted in such painful tragedy. In the late `90s we lived next door to each other. When I moved into the building, I had no idea what his deal was until my friend, a talent manager who also lived in the building informed me of Nicky´s credits - surprisingly all films I´d seen & enjoyed - tho I would´ve never recognized him from them. On the outside, he appeared to don a dark & brooding armor, roaring his motorcycle in the parking lot. My father born & bred in NYC in his early 20´s rode a Triumph wearing a leather jacket, smoking Lucky Strikes, etc; yet of all things, he could identify every Bach Harpsichord Concerto & was a bowling hustler to make extra money supporting our family. There´s usually something substantive under such armor - check in with your friends, especially your neighbors - even those wearing the heaviest of armor sometimes can´t shield themselves from the vagaries of life. I am happy to see Nicky continued to hone his craft & create an illustrious legacy as evidenced by his formidable credits. May peace be with Nicky & his family.

My introduction to Nicky Katt was through the 1996 Richard Linklater film "SubUrbia", starring himself, his later "Boiler Room" co-star Giovanni Ribisi, Parker Posey, Steve Zahn and Ajay Naidu. Great film. Nicky played an honorably discharged serviceman with an alcohol problem. The character was not one-dimensional by any stretch- and I attribute that to Nicky. I suggest checking out the film. Rest in peace.

Nicky came into our lives on cold rainy day in Ojai , California. After spending the night by the wood stove and watching "easy rider" with Safetyman on my Capt America chopper, we woke to a sunny day bonding in laughter
The following evening at the Jester, I realized what a talented man Nicky was when he channeled Frank Sinatra at the open mic.
Fond memories of Nicky and our heavy hang will last forever.
Sincerely
Jeffray
