SHORTLAND Nigel Ramon Paul On Saturday, December 27th, 2008, tragically at his home, Nigel Ramon Paul, aged 25 years, of Colne, the much loved husband of Katrina, dearly loved son of Susan and Ramon, loving brother of Sharon and dear grandson of Brian and Lily and uncle of Matthew and Kaitlin, brother-in-law of John and Natalie, son-in-law of Margaret and Billy, uncle to Paige and Isaac and Bump.A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7th, at Colne Parish Church prior to interment at Colne Cemetery. Helliwell's Funeral Service, Stott House, Burnley Road, Colne carried out the arrangements. Tel. 01282 870898.

Rest in Peace Nig, another year has passed but it still seems like yesterday. The truth will out it is just a matter of time. A whitewash of all the events that night. Nigel, it was a sudden parting, too bitter to forget. Those that loved you dearly, are the one's who cant forget. We often sit and think of you,and think of how you died. To think you could not say goodbye, before you closed your eyes.Your life was one of kindly deeds,a helpful hand for others needs. Sincere and true in heart and mind,beautiful memories left behind. The blow was hard the shock severe,to part with one we loved so dear.Our loss is great,we'll not complain,but trust in god to meet again. Two tired eyes are sleeping, two willing hands are still. An old work-mate
I worked with Nigel for a short time at Zebras Night Club in Colne. He was always very chatty and up for a laugh, overall a great guy! He was a very hard worker and would help out with any job; I think to an extent he would be offended if you told him you could manage on your own! Unfortunately I lost touch with his when he left the club. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends. Nigel, R.I.P old friend
