Nina Murphy

NINA MURPHY 1926-2011 Nina Murphy, 84, passed away on August 31, 2011. She was born October 3, 1926 in Bronxville, New York to Manlio and Nina Liccione. She grew up in Bronxville and was one of four women in her graduating class at Fordham Law School. She lived in Rosemont, Pennsylvania for 10 years before returning to Bronxville until 2006 when she moved to Napa to be close to her family. She practiced Real Estate and Estate Law for over 30 years in White Plains, NY. She enjoyed ballet and opera and belonged to the New York City Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera and the Napa Symphony League. She liked to travel, especially to Italy and care for her many dogs, but her greatest love was her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Dana and son-in-law, Jim Ketcham, San Francisco; grandson, Michael Ketcham, New York City; and granddaughters, Katie and Kristy Ketcham, San Francisco; and numerous cousins spread throughout the country whom she loved to see at family events. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Murphy. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 3 from 11am-1pm at Tulocay Funeral Home, Napa, CA. Services will be held at a later date in New York.
