Nina Perron Roser passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles (Charlie) Matthew Roser, Sr; her parents, Hector Bartholomew Perron and Josephine Folse Perron, and her siblings, Hector Perron (late Joyce) and Lucille Perron Williams (late John). She is survived by her son, Charles (Chip) Roser, Jr. (Maria), her beloved granddaughters, Vanessa and Catherine Roser, her brother-in-law Bennett A. Roser, Sr. and many nieces, nephews (grand & great) and dear friends. Nina is a native of New Orleans, LA and resided in Metairie, LA between 1955 and 2022, when she moved to Pennsylvania to live near her son and his family. Nina was a founding parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, as well as an active member and officer of St. Edward's Hilltoppers for many years. Nina worked as an administrative assistant in Tulane University's School of Medicine Department of Anatomy for 26 years, retiring in 1993 to enjoy her family, home, and traveling with Charlie. The family would like to give special thanks to niece Dianne Chieffo and her husband Kim, and all of Nina's family and many close friends for their help and support over the years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at St. Edward the Confessor, 4921 W. Metairie Ave. in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00Noon. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, masses may be said for Nina or donations made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
