I am sad to learn of the Congresswoman's passing. Mrs Lowey was a remarkable force in Westchester and Rockland (through re-districting). She always remembered her constituents at the Capitol and we all are better for her robust service. I was fortune to know her through my work at United Way of Westchester and Putnam. One time when Mrs Lowey appeared at my parish's Greek festival at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in New Rochelle, I helped to escort her around. She was down to earth, easy to talk with and very kind and sincere in her responses and manner. I send my condolences to her family. May God grant her eternal memory and peace.

A dedicated worker for the public. During her tenure in the House of Representatives, she was a voice for so many. Heartfelt condolences to the Lowey family, so very sorry for your loss. May God be with you in your time of loss.
