Today I was reminded of how precious life is and how blessed I am. I attended the funeral of a 12 year old boy who tragically lost his life in a boating accident. I saw a mother and father who lost a son consoling his 10 year old brother and cuddling his baby sister who is too young to understand what is happening around her, all while providing strength to one another. I saw a grieving community of family and friends, co-workers and acquaintances, trying to make sense of it all. I heard the words of a minister who so simply sent a message with love to all that it is okay to feel....whatever that feeling may be. And I feel honored to have witnessed the power of prayer and the comfort of knowing that there is so much more...and as our time together came to an end...the rains came down...and I know...that this is just the beginning...

It was both and honor and a privilege to be a part of Noah's education. I will always remember his smile. When I taught Kindergarten PE, Noah would light up when he saw me at the lower campus. He loved PE! He grew into an honorable young man, one I will never forget. Know that you are in my prayers. May you find comfort in the lives Noah touched for the short time he was with us.

I wanted you to now that it was an honor to teach Noah and I will always remember his sweet gentle smile and the way his eyes would light up his face when he laughed.
