Blanche Stobbe

Blanche Stobbe February 10, 1918 February 4, 2012 Blanche went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the age of 93 years. She was born in England to Peter and Hannah Wallis on February 10, 1918, the second child of two. When she was 16 months old they moved to Canada and settled in the Kenaston district. On September 11, 1937 Mom married Emil Stobbe and they moved to the Edenberg area and began farming, later they moved to the Mennon area. After her husband's death, she remained on the farm continuing to keep cattle for a short while. She enjoyed snowmobiling, biking, golfing, fishing, gardening and reading. She remained on the farm until her stoke at the age of 88. She leaves to mourn her passing her children; Gloria (Ed) Nagy, Carol (Bob) McCrea, Joyce, Marilyn and daughter-in-law Eva, 8 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Hannah Wallis, brother Peter (who lost his life in WWII), an infant son, her mother-inlaw, husband Emil on November 11, 1975 and her son Clifford on October 28, 2011. Her faith in the Lord and positive attitude sustained her through many hardships. She will be deeply missed. Viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 7:00 P.M. at Dalmeny Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at Dalmeny Bible Church on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, 1:00 P.M. Interment to follow at Langham Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Gideons International.
