Nora D. Salguero-Estrada

Nora Salguero was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on February 9th 2023. Born on July 6th 1960 to Jose Alberto Salguero and Alice Miriam Cordero. Loving sister to Christopher, George, Felipa, Victor, Nixsa. Beloved bride of Miguel Xavier Estrada. Devoted mother to Miguel X. Estrada II, Erica J. Holmberg, Joshua D. Estrada, Crystal M. Machac, Alice K.C. Nunez, and Spouses. Doting grandmother to Ethan, Calien, Jocelyn, Miguel, David, Sarai, Sloane, Juniper, Lainey, and Liam.

Nora enjoyed a career over several decades in social services helping low income families. She was an activist for local community services, school board member at Roberto Clemente High School where she introduced programs to pave the way to raise academic standards via MSTA, politically active with local representatives, and her prized achievement was bringing a Super Mercado to Humboldt Park Chicago. In her leisure time she enjoyed crafting and creating beautiful things for family and grandbabies. 

Nora’s greatest accomplishment and treasure was her ministry for the Lord Jesus Christ. Her ministry included singing in the choir, work in the children’s ministry, as well as evangelizing for the salvation of those who she came in contact with.

She will be missed terribly!

Of whom the world was not worthy (Hebrews 11:38a)  Private memorial service will be February 14th 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 at Kristan Funeral Home at 219 W. Maple Ave. Mundelein, Il 60060. Final resting will be February 18th 2023 at Singing Hills Memorial Park 2800 Dehesa Rd. El Cajon, CA 92019.
