Nora Valery entered into eternal rest on Easter 2024 She was surrounded by love ones at Masonicare in Wallingford CT. Nora was born on November 11, 1935 to Andrew and Regina Valery and resided in West Haven growing up. She graduated from West Haven High School in 1954. She wanted to join the Navy but her father disapproved of this career path and she worked at various retailers including Strickler's clothing store and then eventually the Southern New England Telephone Company. She married Anthony Simiola of New Haven in 1956 and had two children Mark Simiola and Roselle Simiola. Nora and the family moved from New Haven to Northford in 1962 where she worked as a home maker for many years. She was known throughout the town for her generous cooking skills, volunteering for countless social causes and local charities. She first returned to the workforce as a receptionist at a local dentist office and later worked as a sales person opening the first retail store at Wallace Silversmiths in Wallingford where she eventually retired from. Nora was a very active retiree as a member of the New Haven Ski Club, a frequent traveler both in North America and overseas. She supported her son's auto and motorcycle racing program; lovingly feeding the crew. She supported her daughter's small business. In her later years she resided in Sun City Arizona and then Northport Florida before returning to Connecticut to spend more time with her family of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nora was predeceased by her parents and older brother Andrew Valery Jr. She is survived by he sister Linda Limosani, her son Mark and his children Stephanie (Seth) Rieni, Vanessa (Mika) Canlas, Lisa Simiola, daughter Roselle and her children Max Tarbell , Rachel Tarbell and Natasha Tarbell, great grandchildren, Wyatt, Asa, Hyacinth, Hoku, Kiamana, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give thanks to Masonicare in Wallingford for all of the kindness and caring that made Nora comfortable in her final years. Funeral services will be private per Nora's request.
