Norm STANNARD

Fond memories of a good/decent man from when I worked for Frontier Fishing Lodge and Norm was the "go to" man at NWT Trucking in Yellowknife. Lots of co-operation and lots of laughs. So sorry for your loss.

I first met Norm as a snot nosed loadmaster trainee with Northwest Territorial Airways in the spring of 1988 .
He was a great mentor and role model for the loadmaster group and I was honored to have had the privilege to have worked with Norm.

We were saddened to learn of Norm's passing. We have shared so many good times & lots of laughs together in Yellowknife! John has lost a great workmate & friend. Our thoughts are with you. Please let us know when & where the memorial is.

Norm hired me as a Hercules Loadmaster at Pacific Western Airlines in Aug 1972 which became the starting point to a 29 year career with PWA and then Canadian Airlines. Norm had a lot of confidence in a 19 year old kid from the Yellowknife ramp and for that I have always been grateful. He was a great guy, with a strong work ethic and a key contributor to the PWA Loadmaster group
becoming a proficient and integral part of the airline's flight crews.

Nancy, we are deeply saddened by the news of Norms passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

My sympathies to the Stannard family. I worked with Norm for many years on the Hercules Operation at PWA in Edmonton.
