Norma Custard Obituary
Norma Louise Custard, affectionately known as "Gma," peacefully passed away on June 12, 2024, in Buford, GA, at the age of 95. Norma was born on December 15, 1928, in Fort Wayne, IN, to her late parents Thomas and Margaret Bakalar.
Norma will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cindy Custard, her grandchildren Todd Armstrong (Karen), Ryan Armstrong (Dawn), Sara Pope (Ray), her great-grandchildren TJ Armstrong, Emily Armstrong, Matthew Armstrong, Ansley Armstrong, Megyn Armstrong, Ben Pope, Christopher Pope, Maddie Pope, Nate Pope, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In her early years, Norma attended Emmaus Lutheran Primary School and later graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School. She was a dedicated member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cumming, GA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church in her honor.
Norma's warm smile, kind heart, and love for her family will forever be cherished by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

I remember Norma from Fort Wayne National Bank, at Bank picnics with my Aunt Jean. She was so much fun! I will never forget the time she got some rejected photos from Howard's card and photo shop (blurry and indistinguishable) and labelled them as if they were people and places we should recognize!! We laughed so hard, our stomachs hurt! She was also generous and helped me thru a rough time or two with my aunt. I am so sorry for your loss, Cindy and family.

Cindy (and family), I am so truly sorry for your loss. I have such great memories of time we all spent together at Grandma Bakalar's house in Fort Wayne. I also remember Aunt Norma's two Siamese cats when we would visit Aunt Norma's house. I always thought they were so exotic! I know you will miss her dearly and hope that your memories will bring you comfort.
