Norma Jean Shirk

I´m thankful for all the work Mom did that may not have always been acknowledged, but was always appreciated. She took good care of my brother, sister, & I when we were kids, & then she was there for her grandsons as well. We lost Mom long before she actually passed because dementia robbed her of her speech, ability to write, & her memories. Thankfully she´s finally at peace. Until we meet again, love you.

Mom, you are finally at peace after a many years long fight with dementia. I have fond memories of watching Mom making fresh bread and creating a donut making assembly line with my sister and me. The wonderful smell of the baked goods always caught the attention of our apartment neighbors and Mom was always kind enough to share. Love you and miss you, Mom.
