The lunch room and those unique colored blocks.

Our condolences to your family from the entire Glenn Cook family. I will always remember the school lunches and tour of the kitchen where we got to shape our own loaf of bread and take it home after it baked. I was in Lenore Christensen's second grade.
I remember Norma coming out of the kitchen to ring her bell and when she had our attention, she would make an announcement about that particular lunch, such as a special birthday lunch favorite for A.W.Johnson, principal.
You know what? I think food connects us to our memories. Too bad they do not have the same "home-cooking" Norma did for the Firth schools. Did she ever publish her recipes for the favorite foods?
Can you imagine the reunion happening with her return? It is sad to have our loved ones pass but a comfort knowing they lived a good life and are with the best company.
