Norma Olguin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 12 to Dec. 14, 2022.
Our dear Norma Jean Olguin, 88, of Great Falls, Montana was reunited in God's kingdom with her husband on December 8, 2022. Norma passed in the comfort of her Washington home surrounded by family. Our lives have been forever changed. Her dedication to all she embarked on will be greatly missed.

Norma was the middle child of seven children, three brothers and three sisters all born to Claude and Gatha Stoner of Wyoming. She graduated from high school before marrying her one and only love, Joe on October 10, 1954.

Norma held various accounting jobs throughout her years but was most proud of her work for veterans. Norma, side-by-side with her husband, played their part from onset to completion of the Montana Veterans Memorial. She was a life-long member of the VFW. She was always working in the background to bring some pizzazz to everything she did. Norma was never afraid to try something new and taught us all how to persist even when it was hard.

We remember her fondly in the kitchen creating so many delicious dishes, sharing her love of Mexican food, her goodies and her adventurous spirit. Norma worked to make everything "perfect" even when times were tough. She was quite a "lady" and always tried to say something nice - even when she didn't want to.

Norma was a devoted wife of 65 years, mother, grandmother and great-grandma. She leaves her son Barry, daughter Joni (husband Michael), grandchildren, Heather and Mac (wife Jennifer) and her seven month old great-grandson, Gabriel.

She loved us fiercely and we all loved her. We wish to thank her for mothering, mentoring and loving us through all these years. Norma loved to dance, and we know that Mom and Dad are jitterbugging together in heaven. Goodbye Norma...we thank you and wish you joy and peace on your next journey.

We will lay Norma to rest next to her husband in the spring. A remembrance will be held at that time. Share your memories of Norma and sign the online guest register at www.lemleychapel.com.
