St. LEDGER NORMA K. (KEPHART)
Age 95, of Gibsonia, on Sunday, June 12, 2016. Daughter of the late David and Hilda Kephart; beloved wife of the late Jack Istock and Jim St. Ledger. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, David Kephart (Sue Lietz), Donald Kephart (Julie), Darrell Kephart, Norma Sheridan (Clayton), Vernon Kephart (Barb Burton) and June Applegarth (Keith); as well as many great-nieces and nephews; stepmother of Joyce Horney and the late Jim St. Ledger. Special thanks to Norma's close friends Shirley, Joanna and Nona for your friendship over the years, to Ray for keeping Norma laughing during her Saturday morning hair appointments and to the many caregivers and staff at Rebecca at Concordia and Good Samaritan Hospice. Norma lived a full and exciting life with great stories to tell from her younger days. She held a strong faith and was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Wexford for many years. Norma enjoyed preparing crafts and volunteering at their annual Christmas craft shop for the students, was a member of various ladies groups in the North Hills area and looked forward to monthly luncheons with her friends. Hobbies included ceramics, making and teaching crafts, crocheting, golf, shopping, watching wildlife from her back porch and working crossword puzzles. Norma loved animals, volunteered with an animal shelter and always kept a special place in her heart with the remembrance of her dog, Heidi. Family and friends will be received Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. and Thursday morning 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10418 Perry Hwy., Wexford. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church, Wexford.
