Norma Wine Obituary

Norma Geraldine Brown Wine, 87, of McDonald, TN, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at her residence. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was of the Baptist faith and was the daughter of the late Silas and Nora Brown. She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Boyd, Sr.; sisters, Christine Miller, Wilma Fussell, Sue Ferguson; brothers, L.J. Brown and James Brown. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Ben Wine; Step-son, Fred (Madlyn) Wine; daughter-in-law, Brenda Boyd; sister, JoAnn Gibbs; brothers, Paul (Carol) Brown, Donald (Patty) Brown, Bill (Catherine) Brown and Bobby (Nancy) Brown; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minister George Cupp officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.

Norma,
You were such an inspiration to me and probably didn't know it. Spending time with you when Madlyn was at work, I came to see your passion for enjoying life and came to make it my own. You were strong but compassionate. I praise God for having known you. My prayers and heart felt sorrow are with you Ben, Fred and Madlyn, and all the families. I ask God to wrap his loving arms around you as you say goodby for now.
