Norma Laura Slater Woolley

Norma Laura Slater Woolley 1925 ~ 2008 Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother returned to Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 26, 2008. She was born March 26, 1925 in Salt Lake City to Gilbert and Laura Slater. In September 19, 1946, she married Donald G Woolley in the SL temple. Together they have been dedicated members of the LDS church. She devoted her life to her husband of 61 years, family, friends, church, and community. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren, and they loved her dearly. She made her home a welcome place for everyone, so she took great pride in beautifying her home and yard. She was a great cook, loved to laugh, sing, and enjoyed reading. Mom was a pioneer in scrapbooking and made scrapbooks for each child and grandchild. She will be remembered most for acts as Mom and Grandma Norma - the hundreds of cards and gifts she sent out every year, her infectious laugh, her cheery disposition, and her genuine and deep concern for every member of her family. She is survived by her husband Donald G Woolley, her sister Bonnie Selander, her brother James (Jody) Slater, and her four children--Kent (Penny) Woolley of Kaysville; Kirk (Julie) Woolley of Bluffdale; Becky (Craig) Whittemore of S. Jordan; and Cherlyn (Terry) Green of Bountiful. She will be deeply missed by her 14 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren (with two more arriving soon). Funeral services will be held Sat., May 3rd at 11am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley located at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.)
