As I was pulling in to go to work I would want to let him go by. With his wonderful smile he would wave his walking stick in the air and let me go. Ever the gentle man and so friendly. Please accept our deapest sympathy on the passing of our friend Norm.Our friendship began some fifteen years ago while my son Sam and I would speak to "the man in the back of St.Mary's church" After Sam and I would bring up the gifts at 7:30 mass, Norm would seek out young Sam to shake his hand as he returned from the alter after leaving the donations. Asyoung Sam grow into a fine young man and a close friend of Norm "Mr. St.Mary's" They would meet most every Sunday and talk about school and of course sports, especially baseball. We will miss him greatly
