Hello Harry and David. Thanks for your posts concerning my late father; your kind words are greatly appreciated. Thanks also to all of the friends and family who participated in their own various ways in the last few days of my father's life, followed by the cremation and the sprinkling of ashes at Heywood Cricket Club.
For myself, I will really miss my father - he was a great man, a great father and my best friend. My principal hobby is music and I owe my love of jazz, blues and swing to my father.More importantly, I owe my own moral, ethical and political values to him; primarily I learned that there are some things on which you cannot compromise: truth, equality, justice, fairness, friendship and single malts.
I will miss him.
