I had the pleasure of meeting Norm through the Wildrose Ramblers and the Edmonton Nature Foundation. He inspired us to write Volume III of the Edmonton Walking Guide for East Edmonton and I know he was instrumental in arranging the financing and printing for the first two volumes. Our committee decided, last Wednesday that Volume III would be dedicated to Norm. We are sorry that we were not able to let him know before he passed. We will sincerely miss him because he was so motivational and encouraging. God bless the members of his family. Sharon Pisesky

I enjoyed meeting Norm at ELLA and then at the community garden. What a nice coincidence when I found out he was married to you Marsha. I am glad I had the opportunity to know Norm and will miss him where our paths crossed.
Wishing you, Marsha, and your family strength.

Our thoughts are with you Marsha as you and your family mourn the loss of Norman. I had the pleasure of meeting Norman when I joined the Board at the Edmonton Nature Centres Foundation in 2000. He was very much a gentleman who enjoyed the outdoors and nature education as well as providing the means by which this could be conveyed to pre and elementary aged school children and their families. We greatly appreciated his guidance on the Board and his hard work in managing several of our projects.

So very sad to learn of Norman's passing. He was a passionate and dedicated man who inspired people by his commitment to the organizations and causes he supported.

We loved being with Norman, a friend over some 30 years. Thanks Norman in all that you shared with us. My son's reply to the news was " Oh, sorry to hear this, Mom! I remember him as a big, friendly guy. Sad day... " This pretty much says it all. Love and blessings - Norman, family and friends. May our hearts be full in the Norman that we love.
