To Norm's family, I will always remember Norm fondly. My work with him gave me the privilege of getting to know a very intimate part of him. I looked forward to meeting with him week after week, as I increasingly found myself in the presence of a smart, sensitive, and principled man. If I had not been his counsellor, I would have been proud to be his friend.

Dear Joan, Bill and family

I will always remember Norm for his humour, his straight forward attitude and his stubborness. He showed me what courage really looks like - to face his illness like he did and still be able to laugh at things and be kind. I feel privileged to have known Norm. He was a good man. My thoughts are with you all.

I just wanted to give my condolences to the family. I am one of the social workers that got to know Norm albeit not really closely since I was not assigned to him. I had always hoped that he would improve and not spend his life in hospital, but sadly that was not to be. I was able to speak to Trish and Joan on a few occassions and I will remember the caring and love that you expressed about Norm via our conversations. I wish you all well..take care.
