Dr. Leeling was one of my professors at Grand Valley many years ago. His love of education and devotion to his students was a valued memory I have from that time. He was a great professor but an even better human being. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Sincerely, Ann Zamboldi Back

I just learned of Norms death today. Norm was my favorite hiking buddy in Florence for almost 4 years. In addition when he was almost 84 he helped me do the baseboard for my new kitchen floor. He was always ahead of me when hiking even though he was almost 10 years older. (As you can see in the picture on the dunes. He wanted to do new and long hikes. On the trail he helped us identify trees and flowers and was always smiling and laughing. He was a role model for healthy aging so it was a shock to hear of his passing.

I just found out about Norm's passing and will miss him greatly. I met Norm as he walked by my house to the N. Jetty. He always had a smile on his face, good stories and offered to help pull my weeds. I found out he worked building houses for Habitat for Humanity. He also loved playing Pickleball. Norm will be missed in Florence.
Condolences to the family.

Norm is greatly missed at our pinochle group. He was a great player and loved to joke and tease. We miss your many stories. We miss you Norm.

Dear Barb,
We were shocked to hear of Norm's death. When I (Jeff) was a student at Michigan State University, Norm advised me on my masters and doctorate research degrees and signed off on the theses, 1966 to 1971. Sandy did not have any academic relationship with Norm but she was a casual and happy contact with Norm through Jeff´s connection. Our work together did not last beyond those years, but we remained friends with yearly cards for six decades. Norm was always a thoughtful, happy and friendly contact.
Condolences to his family and friends.

Norm was the kindest person! When I first started playing pickleball he was so welcoming, I enjoyed playing with him and conversing with him about his activism for Florence community affairs. He is greatly missed.
