Jean, what an honor it was to get to know Norman. He was an outstanding member of "The Greatest Generation". A man who served his country with honor, bravery and dignity. We will all miss him, his ready smile, flashing eyes and wonderful sense of humor. May he now rest in peace, knowing that he competed a job well done.

I will always remember Norman. His smile and happy greetings were special. I loved the time spent at the Redlands years ago getting to know the three of you. All of us at Bead Traders have you in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Jean I'm sorry to hear of the death of my cousin, Norman. I'll always remember your kindness when we came to your beautiful home on the lake for Thanksgiving and you and Norman coming to my Mother's funeral and sending me the pictures you took. Jean, We were so sorry to hear about Norman. Billie's son in Longview called her to tell her he read about Norman in the paper. Also, Darwin called us tonight to say he read about Norman in the Orlando paper. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love Darlene & Jim Redden - Cousins -

Your family has our sincere sympathy. We recall fondly the reunion of the Mollards at the Redlands Building when it was in the initial stages of renovation. My mother was Lois Nell Mollard Bettis, sister to Norman's father. May God bless and keep all of you. Fred and Selma Bettis, Punta Gorda FL

Robert and Jean,
My heartfelt sympathy to your family. The conversations that I have had with Norman will stay with me always. He was a very interesting man, a man that loved his country and fought for what he believed in. He was from a wonderful generation of men that well, they just don't make them like that anymore. He will be greatly missed and I am so very blessed that I had the chance to know him.
Love you guys,
Karen Armstrong

Jean & Robert, I have shared with many over the years the wonderful treasures derived from having been blessed to know your family. Norman was a great teacher. I never see a beautiful crafted ceiling fan without remembering the pride he took in showing me the painstaking restoration techniques of his unique creations. I also have learned something new about his glorious life everytime I hear of him. He represents the greatest quality of men this country has ever known, in so many ways. I can't be there tomorrow to celebrate his life with you, but I do hope to see you both soon. Know that you all have touched my life and represent the purest golden threads in my life's tapestry. Eternal life is that and he will be with us always.
