Norman Edward Parker

Norman was a friend of mine for more than 20 years and taught me more about this business, and life in general, than probably anyone I know. He was hysterical, and smart, and kind, and the type of person who threw cables at a 2nd AC when they weren't the right ones, and would then take out $1,000 every Christmas and walk around handing $50 bills to homeless people. He'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it and he had this crazy way of convincing you that he could speak a language that didn't exist, and also talking to you where he would drop words out and it made it sound like he was speaking gibberish.

He could convince anyone of anything. He once called up Panavision and convinced them that he was a Cardinal from the Vatican and the Pope was coming to visit. He convinced a production manager that he needed ten parking spaces because he drove a hook and ladder, and his second AC drove the drove the back of it. He was just an exceptionally funny person and I truly loved him as a friend.

He gave money to more organizations that he believed in than anyone I know. He was a a vegan foodie before veganism or even foodies were a thing and was an extraordinary, extraordinary human being. We would talk or text several times a day and there´s now a huge hole in my life where he existed. I´d like to think that right now he is arguing with God about the fact that atheism is the only thing that makes sense, and God is starting to see the light.

If you knew him you know what we lost and if you didn´t, you missed out on something special.

There are no words that can be said about my friendship with Norman. I loved him so much and will miss him forever. We have been friends since we were 14 years old. I know he´s in a better place ( even though he was not a believer like myself). I know he´s laughing at me now, but I talk to him alot. Norman sleep in peace and please show me a sign. Love you sweetie

Norman I miss you. The world is not the same anymore!
I have been Norman and Kathleen 's dentist for 17 years. Past 5 years we have developed a friendship. Every 2 months going to lunch. Trying vegetarian food. For Norman vegetarian because he was a strong animal activist for me because fir Kosher reasons. We talked politics, movies, life, Norman 's daughter and gradkids, my kids, while Milo was waiting in the car. I am deeply devastated because I miss you my friend! The laughter, the pranks. May you rest in peace you are finally with Kathleen but left a huge void in our lives.
