I am grateful for the care and concern he and Mrs. Laura demonstrated during very trying times of life. I am appreciative of the friendship, support, and humor. Their marriage exemplifies something we all seek.
My thought, prayers, and best wishes are extended to Mrs. Laura, Sondra, Shari, his grandson, great-grandchildren, and to the Rates diaspora, who loved him as a father.
Thank you for 2015 Palm Sunday that encouraged us to "Don't Worry, Be Happy." What joyous message and a glorious benediction.
