NORMAN VICKAR

One of the real pleasures of being Alan Blakeneys Principal Secretary was to Norm in his capacity as the mayor of Melfort and then as a minister in the Blakeney government. His commitment to his fellow citizens never wavered. He set an example of excellent public service for us all. Thank you Norm! I will make a donation to the Broadbent Institute in his name.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Norm. He was a great man and a great neighbour. His life was so full of family and service to his community. He will be lovingly remembered by many.

I remember Norman with fondness when he was mayor and recreation board chairman in Melfort. His involvement and success as an NDP MLA represented his philosophy of social justice and community well being. It was my pleasure to know him.
