Norman Edward Whitney

Norman Edward Whitney, 93, of Naples, FL passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023. He had been a resident of Naples since the early 1990's coming from Andover, CT. Norman was born on September 28, 1929 in Medford, MA to the late Frank & Eileen (McAvoy) Whitney. He graduated from Tufts University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea and was a member of the Collier and Lee County Honor Flight. During his working career he was an Aerospace Engineer and was awarded several patents with United Technologies Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He was also a licensed constitutional law attorney in 4 states and most recently a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist. He was a consumate French horn player with several northeast orchestras and the Naples Orchestra. Norman was a member of the Unity Church, Naples and St. Joseph's Church in Medford, MA.

He is survived by his two sons, Edward R. Whitney and Peter J. Whitney; daughter, Rebecca E. (Whitney) Risley and grandson, Aaron Risley. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy Lois Whitney and daughter, Anne M. (Whitney) Perzanowski.

A private family graveside ceremony will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, MA.
