I just couldn't believe this... my brother Paul told me that Jerry passed away, he heard it from some one else.? I met Jerry at Lynn Jr. High, we were good friends 'till I got married and left NMSU. We lost touch...the last time I saw him a few years ago, we ran into each other at Tom Youngs, sitting in the hot tub...my heart goes out to his family, Sandy, Richard, Donald...sorry for your loss.

My dear precious nephew. It is with deep sadness that my family and I learned of your passing. I still remember you as a baby since you and my son were born only one month apart.. Playing with our babies was mine and your mama's pride and joy. Hard to believe that you are now gone with all the angels in paradise. They have so much to learn from you as we all did. VAYA con DIOS, my hito.

Jerry, my dear nephew, you were so smart, so intelligent, and, a funny guy. Your Mom, Lupe, my sister, wants you with her right by our Lord Jesus Christ, not to mention with all of our departed family who beat us there. I love you and take care of my sister like you did when she was ill here on earth. I thank God he gave you to us to be part of my family.+Peace+

Mr. Bustos, Tumbleweeds, La Familia, and friends. I look forward to seeing Jerry again! We grew up as neighbors since we could walk. He was my side-kick. He would always dare me. Luckily I never got hurt, well, sometimes. He got me into wrestling, football, and contact sports. He went Marine, I went Army. I couldn't keep up with him. None-the-less, he helped inspire my career growing up. He looks the same way as I remember him. Thank-You for Serving Our Country!

When someone we love falls asleep in death the memories we have of them become our treasure. May these cherished memories of a life well lived and God's promise at (John 6:40) bring you a measure of comfort. My deepest sympathy.

My condolences to Jerry's family. Jerry and I went to school together and hung out through out most of our high school years. He was the brains of our little group of friends. Rest in peace my friend! Steve Heredia

Jerry, as the oldest sibling, you took on the role as protector. You protected me, often, as well as others. This was mentioned last night at your rosary. You touched numerous lives and you will be dearly missed. There are so many memories of which you are part of, I wish you were still here to make more. I have missed you since you went to join mom. I will see you again when I am called home. Love you always.

Our deepest condolences to the Bustos family. Jerry was a great friend of mine and he will be missed. I will always remember the awesome moments we had in the '80's and early 90's. Semper Fidelis and rest in peace, Marine. Sincerely, Victor and Bernice Eres
