MOULTRIE, Melvin Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday April 16, 2008 at 1:00PM Olive Branch AME Church Mt. Pleasant, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Moultrie will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2008 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Olive Branch AME Church Mt. Pleasant, SC, where the family will receive friends at 7:00PM. He was the beloved Husband of LouEsther Moultrie; father of Timothy Moultrie (Idella), Melanie Moultrie (Nathaniel) and Cynthia Moore (Allen); brother of Betty Moultrie-Grate, Carolyn M. Gilliard (Robert), Fred Moultrie (Pamela), Rose Marie Manigault (Joseph), Mary M. Robinson (James), Janie Moultrie, Henry Moultrie (Shirley), Linda Moultrie and Ronald Moultrie (Christa); son-in-law of Lucille Jefferson and brother-in-law of Thomas Jefferson (Lorraine), Michael Jefferson (Sonja), Patricia Wright and Peggy Smalls; Nephew of Virginia Jefferson, Edna Smalls, Henrietta Cummings, Annabell Manning, Ethel Mae Doctor, Maggie Alston, Estelle Richardson, Wilhelmina R. Coakley (Eugene), Benjamin Richardson (Jacquline), William Richardson (Loretta), James Richardson (Lena), Herman Richardson (Rebecca)and Sadie Furgerson and nephew-in-law to Virginia Singleton, John Singleton, Lillian Murray, Ruth Singleton and Jessie Dingle. Grandfather of Kevaun Jenkins, Timothy Moultrie, Jr, Taliyah Salisbury, Janiyah Slisbury, Bree'a Moultrie, Mekenzy Moultrie, Desmand Moore, Jeremy Moore and Darius Moore. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, the late Fred and Lillian Moultrie and brother, Donald Moultrie. I love and will miss you so very
much. Even though we didn't always see eye to eye, I know the love was there and no one will be able to take that away from me. I recall the times I needed you and you were just a phone call away. I will always remember the long road trips we'd take when you brought us down south for the summers, the times you and I spent together when we both worked on 34th Street. Uncle Punch-O.
I remember the day that you told me not to call you uncle Melvin, but call you uncle Punch-O. Although, we did not always see eye to eye I know that the love was there. I remember when we both worked on 34th Street we would go to lunch or just spend time talking and hanging with each other. I aIso remember whenever things went wrong I could call on you. When I saw you in so much pain I prayed to God for a healing. When he took you I was angry not realizing that the healing would be you going on to be with God. I know that Gramommy was there to meet you with open arms, with uncle Donnie and Tootee right by her side. Uncle Punch-O I will miss you, I know that you are in a better place until we met again, rest my beautiful uncle I love you.

I enjoyed the times that I spent with you. I will miss you, dearly. I am at a loss for words. Melvin was not just a neighbor, but a friend. He was someone who I was able to share a laugh/joke with. We shared encouraging words while we worked in the yard. We had fun with the dogs :) He was just the kind of guy that was well liked and loved. We would do anything for anyone. He will truly be missed.
