George Myers Obituary
He was the son of Elsie (Schmell) and Ezra Myers. He married Marie Beachy on April 26, 1953, in Alden, N.Y.
George attended Frankstown Park Missionary Church, was a farmer for Shaklee Distributor, and was active on the Sylvania Borough Council and with the Canton Mennonite Church as an elder and missions representative. He was also an avid outdoorsman and hunter.
He is survived by: a son, David, of Morgantown, Pa.; daughters Gloria Miller of Altoona, Sheryl Lehman of Lancaster, Pa., Joyce Ritz of Reading, Pa., and Angela Shank of Homer, Alaska; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Jack.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday at the Frankstown Park Missionary Church in Holidaysburg. Interment was private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements were under the direction of Plank, Stitt and Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Holidaysburg, Pa.
