To the family of Lyall & Ruth,

I loved both of your parents dearly and miss them. They served so eagerly and willingly in their music callings at Church headquarters, always with a delightful touch of selflessness and humor.

One morning I entered my office at Church headquarters to find a beautiful, white spray of flowers on my desk with a small note: "Our condolences--we just learned of the passing of the hymn-singing period in Sunday School." This story is my bouquet to the family.

Love,

Ann Muir Johnson

May the Lord bless you with peace at the passing of your father.
Uncle Lyall was a kind man who played a role in getting my career started. He always sent me a Christmas card. And I have never forgotten our trip to visit you in El Paso with the excursions into Juarez.
You are in my prayers and I am sorry that I will not be able to come to the funeral. With love,

Alice Edvalson

Dear Gardner Family; It was a privlage to have met Lyall. Having met his family, I can tell Lyall and Ruth did their job well. To have such a loving family is wonderful.Ruth and Lyall can now progress onto greater things. May god bless Lyall's family with comfort and love at this hard time. It will be wonderful when someday we will all be together.
If there is anything Me or my family can do, please ask.
