Jean A. Del Plato Mass is on Wednesday for Berkeley Township great-grandmother Jean A. Del Plato, 96, of the Holiday City Heights section of Berkeley Township, N.J., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at her home. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, N.J. 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, N.J. 08757 at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, N.J. Born and raised in Orange, N.J., Mrs. Del Plato lived in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., before moving to Berkeley Township in 1988. Jean was a very charitable person having been supportive of various groups in the Orange, N.J., and West Orange, N.J., area. She was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Del Plato, in 2001, and her daughter, Marie Ellen Grimaldi, in 1990, and also her eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Phillip Caprio; three grandchildren, Phillip Caprio Jr. and his wife, Gisela, Joseph C. Caprio and his wife, Stela, and Jennifer Grimaldi Finan and her husband, John, and six great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Rafael, Riley Marie, Sofia, Joseph, and Alexander.
