Rupff, Virginia A. (Burns) Bay City, Michigan Virginia Ann Burns Rupff, age 79 years, died Monday morning, November 6, 2006, at her residence. She was born to the late Peter and Mary Jane (McEachin) Burns on February 2, 1927, in Bad Axe, MI. Virginia received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Central Mich-igan University. She taught second grade for several years in Bay City. Virginia was Vice-President of Even-knit Shops, Inc. and a past member of the Board of Directors for the Rachel Sovereign Home. She loved flowers and was a member of the Garden Club. Virginia was very proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed spend-ing time with her family and friends. She brought hap-piness to all that knew her. On August 31, 1972, she married Louis P. Rupff and he survives her along with four children: Kitty Carroll Heinichen-Buchanan and her husband, Larry Buchanan of Santa Rosa, CA, Ludwig Rupff and his wife, Jacqueline of Durand, MI, Bayne Rupff Birckenstaedt and her hus-band, Klaus of Daufuskie Island, SC and Kurt Rupff and Rose Steffey of Bay City, MI; grandchildren: Kevin Sean Heinichen, Brendan O'Rourke Heinichen, Emma Moira Heinichen, Amy Elizabeth (Shane) Rupff Cianek, Virginia (Darcy) Rupff Courtemanche, Rebecca Jacqueline Rupff and Kuy Scott; great-grandchildren: Emma Grace Cianek, Harry Cianek, Gabe Courtemanche and Frankie Courtemanche; two sisters and one brother: Eileen Burns Sanford, Patricia Burns Hendrick and Jerome Burns; along with numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Lenore Burns Cole, Rowena Burns Wruck, Peter Burns, Thomas Burns, Jimmy Burns and Marion Burns Sullivan. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, November 10, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Essexville. Rev. Patrick C. O'Connor will preside and the Rite of Committal will follow in St.Patrick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Heartland Hospice. Visiting hours will be Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel and Friday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
