When I was leaving for home, after the funeral, I thought about times I've shared with Jamie. Meanwhile, I turned on the radio, and to no surprise, her song, Edge Of Seventeen (white winged Dove) by Stevie Nicks, came on. Tears of Joy and comfort came over me knowing that she will always be with us. I learned how to sink or swim with Jamie, to ride a horse, get bucked off, and to get back on as she laughed uncontrollably, and to milk the goats as she soaked me with milk. Jamie rode like the wind on her horses Snow Flake & Fad around barrels, and on her desert quad, even as I rolled my ATC helplessly, (while she towed me to get gas) in front of the Glamis store.(laughing again) She always laughed & rode life like the white winged dove sings a song, sounds like she's singing. If not at a concert with friends then while acting out the Rocky Horror Picture Show that played on her 8 track. ooo baby ooo said ooo.
No matter how tough life got Jamie got tougher! Even if it meant hiding an injury from Mom, or sewing up a wound with dental floss! OMG She was amazing!
May all of our hearts be filled with happiness and comfort & your minds with the wonderful memories of my beautiful Cuz, Jamie Joy! I know she would want us to celebrate her life and all the good times.

Jamie was my first true friend. I have so many memories of times with her that I don't know where to begin. Long aftenoons swimming in her pool and then sitting for hours under the plum tree eating plums in the little orchard out back are probably my fondest memories. Riding the roller coaster at Belmont Park with Jamie yelling, "Open your eyes Lori Heacock!" as I sat cowering in the seat beside her. I will never forget spending many, ,many Friday nights at the Hetherington home watching scary movies and staying up late - something that never happened at my house. I remember riding horses in Ramona with Jamie and sneaking over the fence to the orange orchards near their home where we would dig through sawdust piles and collect tiny polished rocks. Jamie and I spent our formative years together and she will always hold a very special place in my heart for all the happiness I felt when I was with her and her family.

Jamie was so full of live, she could make you smile or laugh no matter what kind of day you were having. She had these phrases that she alway's used that i'll never forget. if you asked her how she was feeling after a night out she would say, "I'm tore up from the floor up", or if you said somthing stupid she would say," Dah, big red truck". She will be missed very much!
