Ocie Bowman Obituary
TROY — Ocie M. Bowman, age 88 of Troy, passed away peacefully Friday, February 10, 2017.
Born June 2, 1928 in Dover, TN to Albert and Estie {Wallace} Howard.
She was one of six children.
Her Late husband, Robert Bowman, died in 2006. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Grady, Freddie and Leon Howard, sisters, Ovadee Wolfrum and Othetta Nickel; two granddaughters, Michelle Brown Fitzharris and Nicole Brown.
Ocie is survived by her sons, Ted (Dottie) Brown, of Tipp City, Michael (Mary Lou) Brown, of Tennessee, and Albert (Cindy) Brown of Union; six grandchildren; Ted Brown Jr., David Brown, Melissa (Jeff) Frost, Misty Brown, as well as Heather (Bill) Seely and Melynda (Kevin) Wieters of Tennessee. She leaves 13 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bowman was founder and owner of Mind Over Weight Total Fitness in Troy, where she taught and guided a fit weight control and diet program for over forty years. She was a member of the Troy United Methodist Church and Miami County Republican Women's Club, as well as a volunteer for Miami County Hospice. Her primary love and focus was her family, her friends and Fox News.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 14 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home 327 W. Main St., Tipp City. Visitation is 4pm to 7pm, February 13 at the funeral home, as well as half hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Contributions may be made in Ocie's memory to Hospice of Miami County.

I knew Ocie through Mind Over Weight, she was such a beautiful person, it was a great privilege to have known her. I am sure she will conduct exercise classes in Heaven.
