Odaris Jean "Betty" Clark

Dear Family, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I will miss her grace, positive outlook and hospitality. I know how difficult these times can be if you need someone to talk to call me day or night.

To the Clark Family,
Ms. Betty shall be missed by us all. I truley thank her to this very day, for she had prayed with me before I got on the police depatment that the Lord would keep and protect me. She then gave me a small but mighty bible for which I kept for many years.
You guys are very blessed to have had a praying mother.

To all of my dear family, friends and extended family: The New Year is swiftly approaching. It has ended on such a final note. A note that I have never heard, nor will I ever hear again. The note of losing my most precious mother in such an unexpected way. My heart is heavy and yet my spirit is so full of our possibilities as a family and community. We are coming together the way my mother prayed we would for so many years. Her fabulous sons, Renard, Gary and Bill are the most spectacular men in the world in my eyes. Seeing their faces and hearing their voices remind me so much of my mother and the values she instilled in us that are forever etched in our very souls. Though this still feels like an awful dream; my heart is very well aware that she is no longer with us. I love her so, I love her so, I love her so. Family, we have an act to follow and a cloud of witnesses surrounding us. Let us put aside every entanglement and weight that keeps us from running this race as she ran hers. With patience, fire and the most powerful love ever known to mankind. Have a blessed and prosperous New Year and walk through each and every day with your head up as if you are expecting something great to occur. I watch, pray, work and wait for that great and wonderful day when I get to see my mother's beautiful and perfected face again...will you all join me with a mouth full of praise in the midst of our most somber tears. God is yet worthy of it all! Happy are those who mourn for we shall be comforted! Happy New Year!

Ms. Betty was indeed an angel here on earth, and I was blessed with the opportunity to have known her. She brought joy and inspiration to all who knew her. Ms. Betty was sincere in all of her endeavors and genuinely cared for people. Yes, she was a special person filled with the spirt of our Lord and Savior. May God continue to bless each of you.

We again, have lost a great soldier in our army who have touched our lives in an un-forgetable way. I'll miss her encouraging words, as she rest in peace but let US continue to speak her words through prayer.... she prayed everday that God keep us...as we keep one another. Gina when I saw you last you was exasted and said you were taking care of your mother because she was sick, God saw your faithfulness and will reward you accordingly; be encouraged and know that your mother is in Gods care now you will be in my prayers.

Thank you for sharing Ms. Betty with many of us. Ms. Betty was like a second Mom to me for many, many, many years. I am glad that I spent some time with her during my last visit home. I wish that I hugged her a little tighter and spent another hour talking, laughing and even crying while looking at pictures and sharing stories.

Go ahead and cry, tears are definitely warranted. Ms. Betty loved her family, survived many obstacles and taught us all how to survive. After the tears stop falling, remember the good times. I am going to miss Ms. Betty. My prayers and sincere condolences to each of you.

Faye Swisher Ohio Bell co-worker, off and on for years. We had such fun setting togather. I have thought of her often, when I went south, she was planning to go south also, so we lost touch. She was a great lady. I loved her very much. I do know I will see her again.
