Olga Banducci

Olga Altagracia Tello Banducci Sep. 1, 1929 - Nov. 7, 2013 She was preceded in death by her husband Dino and her parents, Rafael Tello and Altagracia Muro Mendez de Tello. Olga is survived by her children, Teresa (Skip), Anthony, Dean and Jim; her grandchildren, Zack and Heather Peacock and Chelsea and Brandon Banducci; brothers Rafael and Carlos; sisters, Marta, Ana Elena, Cristina and Carmen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Olga was born in Mexico and came to Muir Beach with her husband Dino Banducci in the 1950's. Olga lived for many years on the Banducci Ranch, a historic family flower-growing business near Muir Beach - The Banducci Ranch specialized in growing heather on the hillsides and tulips, iris, stock and other flowers for the wholesale market. Olga, Dino and family moved to Stinson Beach and then to Mill Valley, where she lived for the past 45 years. Olga often said, "Enjoy the life!" and true to form, she was often the life of the party. Olga loved to dance and sing and collected traditional and indigenous dresses from most of Mexico's cultural regions. As a young woman, Olga was an accomplished horsewoman, with attendant skills and enthusiasm. Later, it was said, she drove her car with a similar enthusiasm. Olga loved to travel and she and Dino enjoyed many trips with their friends Jim and Marilyn Tousey. Olga translated a medical text into Spanish, enjoyed playing cards including poker and was a certified SCUBA diver. Her vigor persisted into her later years as she maintained a healthy lifestyle with a passion for playing tennis and swimming. Olga spent her final years at Aegis in San Rafael, where everyone grew to enjoy her and love her. Olga died peacefully, with her family attending, after her long battle with Alzheimer's. She was much loved and words cannot express how greatly she will be missed. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13, 11:00 AM at Fernwood Cemetery, 301 Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley, CA.
