Brick Aberdeen - Olga B. Brick, 98, of Aberdeen died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen. Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 214 7th Ave. S.W., Aberdeen with Rev. Ronald Laue officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., Aberdeen, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Olga B. Angerhofer was born April 24, 1905, at Highland Township, rural Aberdeen, to Rudolph and Anna (Parsch) Angerhofer. This is the area where she attended school. She married Ernest Henry Brick on May 9, 1923, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Highland Township, rural Aberdeen. They farmed in rural Highland Township until June of 1960, when they moved to Aberdeen and purchased the Breeze Inn Motel. They owned and operated the motel for two years and then sold it and moved south of Aberdeen. Olga worked at the Village Bowl for a short period of time. Ernest died on April 14, 1971, in Minneapolis, Minn., and Olga continued to make Aberdeen her home. She became a resident of Bethesda Home of Aberdeen in May of 2001 and resided there until the time of her death. Olga was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Highland Township, rural Aberdeen, where she was very active in the L.W.M.L. (Ladies Aide). She was also a member of RSVP and was active in the Kitchen Band. She enjoyed playing in the Kitchen Band, fishing and spending time with her relatives and friends. She also liked gardening and canning. She also liked to drive her car. Her religion was very important to her and she always attended church and was very active with the ladies aide. Survivors include two sons, Norman (Evelyn) Brick of Aberdeen, and their children, Jerry (Susan) Brick and Joel (Linda) Brick, Lloyd (Jean) Brick of Aberdeen, and their children, Susan (Robert) Anderson and Diane (David) Rust; one daughter, Elynor (Bob) Rud of Aberdeen, and their son, Charles (Judith) Rud; grandson, Wesley (Sherry) Brick, son of the late LaVerne Brick; one daughter-in-law, Edith Brick of Aberdeen, and her children, James, Rocky, Gerald, Angela and their families; one sister-in-law, Alvina Angerhofer of Aberdeen; six great-grandchildren, Renae and John Anderson, Daniel and Matthew Rust and Benjamin and Rachel Rud; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; two sons, Robert and LaVerne Brick; five brothers and two sisters. Casketbearers will be Jerry Brick, Joel Brick, Robert Anderson, David Rust, Charles Rud and Wesley Brick. Honorary casketbearers will be her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
