The way she lived her life is an inspiration to me. I had just recently heard about Olga and got the book "What Makes Olga Run?" a week and a half ago. Reading it has given me a new outlook on life and aging.
My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. She was truly a treasure.

Mrs Kotelko, as we addressed her, was my grade one teacher at Glenwood Elementary School in Burnaby in 1956. I remember her so well as that wonderful educator who started me off on a lifelong venture of pursuing knowledge and education. It's only in the last few years that the media brought to my attention her tremendous positive spirit and physical vitality. You have lived a fruitful and generous life, and been a dynamic influence over people of all ages, in so many ways. Thank you.

I had the pleasure and great privilege to play 'slo-pitch' with Olga in the 90s. She was so much fun to have on our team, such a great contributor, very supportive of everyone, and a great competitor. I consider my life to have been enriched having known Olga for part of my life. She had a life to be celebrated by the many she touched...aloha and mahalo, Olga

Olga has been pulling my mom through a very tough time recently, and even though the two have never met, Olga has become my mom's inspiration. Thank you, you beautiful and tough lady, Olga, thank you.
