Olive Benton Buchan

BUCHAN - Olive Benton Buchan lived a fulfilled and remarkable life of 98 years and passed away peacefully in her home on June 12, 2024. She is survived by her grandchildren David Buchan, Randall and Amanda White, and Blair Haddad. Her husband of 57 years, Andrew Roy Buchan; former Mayor of Sierra Madre, California, and children James Buchan and Andrea White predeceased her. Olive was a resident of Los Angeles County for the span of her lifetime, attending local schools including South Pasadena High School and Pasadena City College before pursuing a career in real estate. She was a successful real estate agent and broker for over 50 years before retiring. She was a tennis enthusiast and a supporter of noble causes including the work done by the Kiwanis Club and the Alzheimer's Association. Olive will be remembered by family and friends for her kindness, inquisitiveness, witty humor and tenacity. The memorial and interment will be held privately at Turner & Stevens Live Oak.
