We didn't visit Grandma as much as we really should have over the past few decades, however when we did it was always a pleasure to talk with her about her memories of Grandpa "Abby", the depression & war years, and how everyone coped. She was a very fine woman who loved her family very much and enjoyed the nature she could see from her room window. We will miss her very much and I am so happy that my daughter Charlotte and I were able to visit with her on my recent birthday.

Olive was such an inspiration to me during her time living at Parkwood Mennonite Home where I am priveleged to serve as the chaplain. We had many wonderful and meaningful conversations about her family, her love for nature, her strong faith and life in general. She was so proud of her family. And she sorrowed so over that last few years at the deaths of her son & daughter.
She always requested "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" when I asked for favourites during a chapel service so that's what I sang to her each time I visited in the days before her death. Until just 3 days before she died, she would try to do the actions along with me.
Good-bye Olive--God be with you until me meet again.

To our friends, the Cooper family, may you find comfort in the knowledge that you do not grieve alone. The loss of this gracious lady is enormous. Herb you and your family have lost a caring and loving mother but you do not walk the path alone. You and your family will journey with your may friends who share your loss. The grief you are experiencing is as a result of the many superb memories that God has given you over the years of your time with her. May your grief be bearable in the knowledge that God will be with you on your path ahead. Love and condolences Larry and Colleen Breakenridge Peterborough, Ontario

Aunt Olive was a very talented writer and artist and a really sweet lady. She loved the beauty of nature and her loving family. We will miss our visits with her very much.

Olive had a bright, sparkly smile and "hi" when I passed her in the hallway. She was a quiet and sweet soul. My sympathies to her family.
