Oliver Dean Eames SYRACUSE - Beloved father, brother and grandfather, Oliver Dean Eames (Ollie), age 56, died peacefully at this home February 10, 2005, after an extended illness. Ollie was born June 18, 1948 in Logan, Utah to Dean Oliver and Rose Duke Eames. He graduated from Weber State College. He was married December 8, 1972, to Janine McBride in the Salt Lake Temple. He is survived by his wife, sons Kim (Laurie) of Syracuse; Brandon (Natalie) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Brett (Elizabeth) of Syracuse; his brother Doug Eames of Logan; and sisters Terry Penrod of Ogden and Deanna Wheeler of Roy, and five grandchildren: Brayden, Karissa, Conner, Andrew and Logan. One of Ollie's greatest joys was music. He sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and other area choirs, and his voice will be missed. His life was enriched by the love of good friends in Syracuse and Farmington, and by his family. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layt on Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery. E-mail condolences to the family at [email protected].

Ollie was a friend, mentor and brother. When I was in a dark place Ollie was there for me. His ability to help me feel like somebody was astounding. Eventhough our relationship changed over the years, I'll never forget the selfless charity he showed me when I was young and struggling with growing pains. I love you Ollie, I miss you,

Dear Janine,

Even though our paths haven't crossed much in recent years, I sorrow with you at Ollie's passing. We shared some great experiences, both at the U. and in Tab Choir. He is a great spirit. Our love and good wishes to you.

Ollie was a good friend to me when we taught together at Farmington Elementary.

My love and thoughts go out to your family, expecially to Brett whom I taught in first grade.
