Oliver Helms Obituary
He was a retired minister, a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of Oakdale Baptist Church, Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Crotts Helms; daughter and spouse, Sharon and Bill Gordon of Holden Beach, NC; son, Michael Helms of Wisconsin; grandson, Kenneth Scott Stogner; and granddaughter, Emma Paige Stogner.
Graveside services conducted by Mr. David Deck, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Sunset Memory Gardens, Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
Carothers Funeral Home in Mt. Holly is serving the family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the Helms family, especially to Frankie and Stephanie on the loss of Oliver. Knowing that he is without pain and suffering now and is in the kingdom of heaven takes away some of our sorrow. I pray that God will ease your pain and give you comfort in your time of loss.
