Olivia has been my favorite actress for 40+ years. I was deeply saddened by the news of her passing. She was such a beautiful soul, and I will miss her always. An accomplished actress and humanitarian...no one can take her place in our hearts and memories. I admired her portrayal as Juliet so much, I made an exact replica of her red dress with it's intricately designed sleeves and cap, down to the last hand sewn sequin and pearl; and have sketched many drawings of her.... I'll always cherish the memory of her lovely face. May God gently rest her.

Dear Olivia, Thank You for being such an Inspiration to me as you were to so many around the world , for your wonderful performances and for being the amazing Spiritual Person that you were. Though I never met Olivia in person I did have the fortune to talk to her through her blog on her website where she chatted to so many of her fans. May you rest in Love and Harmony in Gods eternal Light and one day I do hope we can meet as was predicted in the beauty of the Other side. Love and Light be with Olivias family, David, Alex Max, India and Grayson. And Love and Light be with you Olivia forever.

When I took the phone call at the Italia Conti Stage School that Zeffirelli was looking for a "Juliet" it was to me immediately obvious that Olivia should audition. Olivia's age, petite size, beautiful hair and skin, and her voice seemed so perfect. Zeffirelli must have thought the same when he watched her in Prime of Miss Jean Brody. Just before her audition Olivia asked me if I felt she should change her last name, we spent half an hour looking for inspiration through the telephone directory names, eventually coming to the conclusion that hers was both unique and memorable, in fact just as she became and will always remain. Dear Olivia, rest in peace.

I personally never met her, but a true beautiful actress that embraced Grace on screen. She was my Mother Mary. It breaks my heart I had Breast Cancer as well. This horrible disease does not discriminate. She was too young.

I was so saddened hearing that Olivia had passed. She was the most beautiful woman in the world. I first saw Romeo & Juliet when my senior English class (1974) went to the theatre to see her movie. All the girls were struck by her beauty, myself included and I know the boys were as well. I got a chance to meet her in Los Angeles around 2001 and she was so nice. She left a beautiful piece of art that will live on forever. I wish peace for her family. ~Bonnie Cather

I met Olivia at her book signing event in Los Angeles in 2018. She was sweeter than sweet to her fans, gracious and tolerant. I admired her so much for her unwavering advocacy for animal welfare. Her book gives astonishing insight to the real life of this unforgettable woman. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved her. Thank you, Olivia for bringing beauty, humor, and compassion into the world we shared with you.

Romeo and Juliet came out in 1968, a year after I was born, in 1967. I first saw it when I was about seven or eight years old in the early 70s and thereafter several more times. It is part of my growing up and has the innocent romanticism and passion that was so beautiful. The ending of this classical Shakespearian movie, was tragic but Olivia and Leonard were so perfect for the role given their talent, age, and beauty. Olivia seems like a wonderful person and while I do not know her personally, I feel a connection with her given her interviews in which she was so real and kind. Leonard's tribute to her was beautiful after she passed. I must confess, I had a total crush on Leonard Whiting after I saw him in that movie. Both actors were beautiful then and remained beautiful in their 70's, and their engaging personalities and life's lessons provided in interviews enhance their beauty. Olivia was also amazing in Jesus of Nazareth as Mary. I have yet to see Mother Teresa and will do so. My heart goes out to Olivia's family - David, Dino, Max, and India, and Leonard Whiting, given their friendship through the years. May Olivia rest in peace in heaven, and continue to watch over and guide her family and friends, until they meet again.

I was a sophomore in High School, dreading watching another Shakespearean movie that our Theatre Teacher insisted we see. We had seen Lawrence Olivier's Hamlet and were bored. The moment Olivia appeared in the dance, My Heart Leaped! For over 50 years, I have been in Love, and I know I will die loving Olivia! Thank you for giving me LIFE!!

I was about 9 years old and I saw her as the Virgin Mary in Franco Zefirelli's "Jesus of Nazareth". There has been so many religious productions through the years, but this one remains my favorite. It's a masterpiece and casting Ms Hussey was a triumph. Even though I never met her she seemed like a kind person and certainly she was a good actress. She will be missed. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

I loved the movie, Romeo and Juliet! Olivia was perfect for the role of Juliet, that she played. So many young girls identified with her love for someone who would never be accepted in her life, for whatever reason. I was 13 years old and just beginning to understand what love was all about when this movie 1st came out! I will always remember her with the beauty she had and the love she had to hide, like so many do. She was perfect for this!
