Olivia Oveson- Greco

Olivia Oveson-Greco, 83, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Northbrook, Illinois. Born on January 8, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois.

A devoted dog lover and passionate advocate for animal rescue. Over the years, Olivia provided a safe and loving home for many rescued dogs, ensuring that each one received warmth and care. Most recently, her beloved companion, Mikey, remained faithfully by her side, a testament to the deep bond they shared. Olivia's home was always filled with the joyful barks of her furry friends, each one a reflection of her unwavering commitment and love to animals.

Olivia is survived by her husband, Bill Oveson; Bill's children, Michael Oveson, Kathy (John) Haring, and Peggy (Mike) Lawver whom she loved and treated as her own; and grandchildren Johnny, Billy, Mia, and Noah, Sister and brother-in-law, Dennis and Julie Sundin. Many cherished friendships made along the way.

Olivia is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anne Flyer, grandchildren, Danny and Ben, and her twin sister, Penny Flyer, whom she lovingly cared for during her illness. The bond between Olivia and Penny was extraordinary. Since Pennys passing 15 years ago, Olivia carried the weight of that loss with grace and resilience, often reflecting on childhood memories, adventures and their deep twin connection.

Rest in peace, Olivia. You are now reunited with your dear, Penny. Olivia's kindness and big heart will be remembered by all who knew her. A private memorial service will be held to honor her memory.
