Ollie Johnston

Ollie, you were so much a part of my life as a child. Both in your movies as well as riding on your trains at your ranch in the mountains. I still remember riding on the E.Marie! I also remember watching you drawing Sir Hiss and many other Characters from your Wonderful Disney Productions. You and Frank Thomas encouraged me to draw and create. While I did not go into animation as a career, I will always remember the "Uncles" that treated me to a great childhood filled with adventure and fantasy! My Dad still speaks of your friendship! To your family, your father and mother are missed by my family very much! Thank you for the memories!

A "legacy" is something of a permanent nature left behind for those who follow.......I am deeply moved by all of us, across the U.S. and worldwide that were touched by Ollie's work.........eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.....may he rest in peace.

I grew up with your movies and they are classic after their time. you will live on in them and in the generations of kids who will treasure your films.

I was born in 1943 and as a little girl I was so tramatized by Bambi's Mom's death. But to this day, I have marveled at the glorious animations & colors. Now my own great grandchildren are enjoying the beautiful work by these "Nine Old Men" You can bet that my grandchildren's grandchildren will also be enjoying the beautiful work by these fantastic "Nine Old Men" What a legacy!

to mr ollie johnston family and friend. i am very sorry to read about mr johnston.i always love disney" snow-white is one that i love the most.i just want to say that dont forget what the bible promise us at john,5:28,29. jesus christ said that there is going to be a resurrection of our love-ones.but this will be a future blessing ,after the earth has been made clean psalms.37:9,10,11,29.again please except my deepest condolences.

We are three generations who just spent two days at the Disneyland Park in France...what a wonderful time. I especially enjoyed watching my 15 year old grandson, sitting at the animation art class provided at the park. Although are paths never met in the real world you touched my life through the love of reading because when I was about seven I got my first book which was cinderella for Xmas that year. That still is one of my favorite books which when I had a chance would read to my now deceased daughter when she was about two years old. May God recieve you in his grace and forever lasting peace.

Please accept my condonlences. I just had to share with you what helped me to deal with the death of my "Tiwn Sister".

One Suffers when a love one dies because death is a loss to a void beyond all understanding. The Scriptures plainly states that Death is "the Last Enemy" and it willl be destroyed. What Strength and Comfort we can draw from Knowledge of the Resurrection Hope! How Glad we can be that our dead loved ones who are in God's memory will awaken from the sleep of death to enjoy all the good things God has in store for those who love him. (Psalm 145:16) Such blessings will be accomplished through God's Kingdom.

So sorrow to read about the loss of Mr. Johnson there are know words that one can say at a time like this.We can look forward to the time when death,sorrow and tears will no more be . Please read Revelation 21: 3-5 Gods thought bring us comfort and give us hope.

Please know you are in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. He helped make many people very happy.

You all must have been so proud of the accomplishments that your father gave the world. He has brought countless hours, days, years of enjoyment to children and adults for years and for years to come. He truly has built himself a legacy that will never be forgotten. Your father truly was a pioneer of sorts and for that we thank him. Rest now Ollie. Heaven may have taken you , but you left a lifetime behind that we will share forever.
