Ollie Keith Thompson Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Friday 12-08-2023 while inpatient at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was 101 years of age. She was born on 11-08-1922, in Rocky Springs, MS on the historic Natchez Trace Trail to Rufus and Janie Burnet. Ollie attended old Knox School, West End High School, Peabody College, and the old Ward Belmont Music Conservatory in Nashville, TN.
Predeceased by husbands, Lehman A. Keith, Sr. and Marvin A. Thompson, Nashville, TN. Also sisters Ada Milstead, Clinton, MS, Maurine Bryan, Sikeston, MO, Katherine Brennan, Southaven, MS and brother Jerome Burnet, Dallas, TX. Also proceeded by loving adopted parents, Lawson and Ollie Safely, Nashville, TN and son Joseph H. (Joe) Keith of Nashville, TN. Also, step-son Donald A. Thompson, Nashville, TN
Survived by 3 sons, Lehman A. Keith, Jr. (Shelby) of Greensboro, NC., Lawson S. Keith (Kathy) Nashville, TN, John J. Keith (Frieda) Burns, TN and daughter-in-law Julia Keith, Nashville, TN. Also survived by loving cousin Mrs. Ethel McCaughan, Southhaven, MS.
Additionally, survived by four grandchildren, Lisa B. McNeill (Steve), Cary, NC,
Leigh Ayn Haralambakis (Elias), Raleigh, NC, Jude Keith (Gibson), Nashville, TN,
Johanna Venson (Christian), Nashville, TN. Also 5 great-grandchildren, Samantha McNeill, Raleigh-Durham, NC, Mary McNeill, Cary, NC, Eva Haralambakis, Raleigh, NC, George Haralambakis, Raleigh, NC, and Mary Ramsey Keith, Nashville, TN.
Ollie was registered with the Vanderbilt Anatomical Society since 2009 to donate her body to science. A Memorial Service is planned for January 7, 2024 beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Lakeshore the Meadows, 8044 Coley Davis Road, Nashville, TN where Ollie resided surrounded by her wonderful friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203

Sweet Ollie was my friend since I was a child. Her smile, her laughter, her singing and piano playing are all etched in my heart forever. Ollie, I will always love you.
