My mother, Dr. Edith S. Lisansky Gomberg, was the Clinical Psychologist at Dr. Moore's Responsive Environments Foundation research project in New Haven, Connecticut, around 1964. Even as a 10-year-old, I was impressed with the idea of teaching 3-4-year-olds to read and type, and I got to play with the "Talking Typewriter" myself. He also came to several gatherings of the Yale intelligentsia at our Hamden home. Dr. Moore was ahead of his time, a characteristic he shared with my mom, who was born a month before him.
