In memory of
Lori Long
May 23, 2009
Opal is a dear life-long friend. Our bond has been special, one of my favorite things. She always graced me with a warm welcome, plenty of laughter and challenge, wit and wisdom, and love without condition. I will miss her. She is free now from pain and the woes of this life, and as I grieve the loss of her presence here, I'm trying to balance it with the joy I know she's found in the presence of God. My wish and prayer for all who love Opal and miss her is that they find the perfect peace that passes understanding which only God can give.

I am so sorry to hear of Opal's passing. She and my grandmother, Margaret Smithwick, were the best of friends. I always thought the world of Opal and she was one of the funniest ladies I've ever known. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
