Orest HRYCUN Obituary
On Wednesday, December 17, 2014, Orest Hrycun of Edmonton passed away at the age of 84 years. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Elsie, daughters Melissa Banks, Elaine (Peter) Kelly and Sharon (Doug) Shave, brother Merne (Lorraine), sister Mychalina, in-law's: Helen, Russell, Stephie and Ann, grandchildren; Dustin, Kaitlin, Michael, and Scott and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother Casey.
Special thanks to the staff at the 5 East Robbins Centre.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church, (9003-153 Ave., Edmonton) with Father Janko Herbut celebrant. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Cross Building Fund.

We are so sorry to hear about Orest. As Patty said we remember him as a wonderful kind man and the best neighbor the Farrellys ever had. I'm not sure who built that gate in the fence Joe or Orest but I do remember going through many times to visit the Hrycuns. Elsie, our thoughts are with you and your family. Dear Elsie - my heart goes out to you, Melissa, Elaine, Sharon and family. I have many fond memories of growing up next door to the Hrycuns and am saddened to hear of Orest's passing. I remember him as a kind and generous man. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear about Orest. As Patty said he will be remembered as a very kind and wonderful neighbour to all the Farrellys. I don't know who built the gate in the fence Joe or Orest but I do remember passing through it many a time to visit the Hrycuns
